Notes:

  • Lounge access requires that you have an onward flight on a oneworld carrier that day.
  • For the purposes of determining lounge access for American Airlines AAdvantage members or those flying in AA premium cabins, AA defines International as being a trip to a country outside of North America (the USA, Canada, Mexico [excluding Mexico City], the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Caribbean).
  • Eligible clubs are those operated by oneworld airlines. Access may not apply at select third-party lounges.
  • This wizard is for information only, and cannot be held liable in case of incorrect information; it was deemed correct per rules posted on oneworld.com and aa.com as of 28 March 2012.

Thanks for this tool. Most of my travel is international. Without this tool, I did not realize that as a PLT I get access to the AC automatically. It may save me some money when my AC renewal comes up next year.

John – you’re very welcome. As a frequent international traveler on oneworld carriers myself, I’ve found learning the rules has been a big help at saving a few bucks. Glad to see you’re in the same boat, and I hope others can benefit too!

Very useful, thanks. Am now living in the US for a while but with BA Silver traveling domestic economy a lot with AA so it sounds like I’ll still have lounge access.

Yep, Jonathan, that’s how the rules read. Hopefully you can maintain your BA Silver status in future years to maintain lounge access.

Hi, thank you very much for this tool! Is there a difference if I am flying on an award ticket? I don’t see that option in the selection.

    Thank you!

As long as you enter the Class of Service information correctly, I believe there’s no difference.
